Unsere Atemschutzgeräteträger waren letzten Samstag wieder fleißig: Sie absolvierten einen Übungs- und Fortbildungstag. Dabei wurde intensiv das Vorgehen eines Trupps bei einem Zimmer- oder Wohnungsbrandes mit dem Hohlstrahlrohr trainiert. Außerdem wurde in einer Übung im Schulhaus die Rettung von Personen mittels verschiedener Fluchthauben dargestellt. Zum Abschluss wurden die Übungsteilnehmer an unserer selbstgebauten „Flashover-Box“ geschult: Hier kann im kleinen Maßstab die Brandentwicklung und -ausbreitung bis hin zur Rauchgasdurchzündung in einem Raum simuliert werden und unsere Atemschutzler können wichtige Beobachtungen und Erkenntnisse für den Ernstfall machen.
